What seems like forever, I haven’t been able to create...until today, the Vernal Equinox...like a flash of lightning, this design hit me. It’s all about the Harvest, the grain, the fruits of our labors and of course, Death.

Many of the symbols of this piece are influenced by the Hellenic Underworld myths...and the cycles of life/death. The skull, a memento mori; the pyrite symbolizes the wealth of Hades; the garnet is two fold - the pomegranate seeds of Persephone and blood; and the citrine is the golden sun at harvest, setting heavily.
