Khepri
Khepri
Khepri - sterling scarab with carnelian, lapis and turquoise pendant (by moi), approx 4.5” L, strung with two strands:
Strand 1 - matte finish Afghan turquoise, matte carnelian rounds, and HTS* beads; approx 16.75” L
Strand 2 - matte Afghan lapis, matte Afghan turquoise, and HTS beads; approx 18” L
Sterling clasp
First I found this perfect sterling scarab at my favorite antique store, then I combined it with these pieces of lapis, turquoise, and carnelian to make an amazing pendant. But what could I do with a very long thin pendant that would lay right?
Add it to lapis and turquoise to create a very delicate broad collar. It lays perfectly on the collar bone with the pendant cascading down.
The name Khepri derives from the Egyptian God of the Morning Sun, some say he is an aspect of Ra. He is also the God of creativity, renewal, and rebirth...perfect for this “Re” season.
